Casey Graham
Hello! I've been guiding and in the Outdoor Industry for over 20 years, focusing a good deal of my time developing skills to teach my students and clients the technical skills they need to succeed in their mountain goals. I grew up skiing and racing in upstate NY and earned a degree in Adventure Education from Green Mountain College in VT where I cut my teeth ice and rock climbing, as well as backcountry skiing all over the northeast.
I moved to CO after college and bounced around the southwest and CA guiding rock, rivers and backcountry skiing for a few years until accepting a full-time position with the Air Force. I now run the USAF Academy's MWR Outdoor Adventure Program guiding and instructing mountain and river programs for all branches of military, as well as oversee a mountain operations training program for special operators. I'm a skier at heart, but can't get enough climbing either, especially on long, intermediate routes. I teach AIARE Rec courses and Silverton Avy School Pro courses in the winter and forecast for our AF operations in the winter. I also work independently around CO, WY and AK, as well as in Europe and Japan skiing and climbing. My days off are often spent on personal objectives, and with my outdoorsy family, teaching them the craft as well! I take professionalism seriously and approach my work with intention, always looking for new tactics/ideas to pursue.
