Chris Simmons-Solomon
Chris is an IFMGA Mountain Guide and owner of Simmons Mountain Works. He splits his time between Antarctica, the Alps, the Pacific Northwest, and the Dolomiti.
Chris guides multiple week-long ski tours throughout the Alps in March and April, then transitions to wilder tours in the Pacific Northwest in May. June and August he seeks out the high alpine routes in the North Cascades and Olympics, and goes to Zermatt in July for the Matterhorn and the amazing climbing in the Zermatt and Saas valleys. Then he ends his summer with a rock climbing trip to the Italian Dolomiti, long multi pitch routes from Tre Cime to the Marmolada.
In the summers he is also a Course Director and Examiner in the Alpine Guide program for the AMGA National Instructor Team, and in the winter he is a Field Guide for science and logistics teams in the US Antarctic Program.
