John Mletschnig
John is a lifelong skier and climber who has been guiding in the Wasatch Mountains and around the west since 2005. After years of international work as ski-patrol, forecaster, and guide, John saw a natural next step: to show others firsthand the all-encompassing skiing and climbing travel experiences that made such a large impression on him. John has a desire to learn and explore the unique and obscure, and he views skiing and climbing as ways to passionately experience the world. If you also view skiing or climbing as more than just sliding on snow or hanging onto a rock, John is your man. He will show you how these sports best describe and define a region. Today, John works as a guide and avalanche educator based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the spring of 2016, he became the only person to have ski traversed the entire Wasatch Range solo during a monumental 23 day push.
