Paul Koubek
Paul is an IFMGA licensed mountain guide, certified by the American Mountain Guides Association in the rock, alpine and ski disciplines. He is also a member of the AMGA's National Instructor Team, where he works as an examiner in the rock and alpine disciplines and an instructor in rock, alpine and ski. He has been guiding for more than 30 years; guiding is his life's work.
Paul is based in Yosemite National Park, California Republic. He guides rock climbs from the 3/4 day beginners adventure "After Six" to the Nose of El Capitan. He guides Alpine terrain in the Sierra Nevada and the North Cascades, and has guided in the Waddington Range, the Alaska Range, Chilean Patagonia, and extensively (6 seasons) in Antarctica.
