Jediah Porter

Jed Porter is a year-round, full-time mountain guide. He started guiding in 1997 and dove in full time in 2005. Domestic home base was once the High Sierra of California and is now Wydaho's Tetons. Professional travel destinations span the entirety of the Americas, from Patagonia to Alaska and intimate familiarity with countless destinations in between. Jed also isn't afraid to go on adventures with you to places he hasn't yet been. His specialty is long-term mentorship and rapport, working with you over seasons and years to the loftiest goals you can aspire to.

Guiding career highlights include such "Peak Progression" journeys to the Evolution Traverse, Peru's Chopicalqui, Aguja De L's, Mount Hunter's West Ridge, Denali (and a Denali ski descent), Pickets Range ski traverse, the first ascent of Sequoia National Park's King Spur Traverse, and multiple successes each along the Palisade Traverse, Teton Grand Traverse, and the Grand Teton Ski descent. Off the clock Jed is also an accomplished and passionate practitioner of the steep; highlights there include months of his life in Yosemite Valley, intimate familiarity with the High Sierra and Tetons, sea to summit and ski back again on Mount St Elias, the first winter ascent of the Complete Palisade Traverse, and the fastest known time on California/Nevada's White Mountain Traverse.
