Caleb Merrill
Caleb cut his teeth in the snow and avalanche world while ski patrolling in Utah's Wasatch Mountains. Conducting early morning avalanche control routes set the hook for a curious fascination of all things snow and avalanches. He was drawn to ski guiding to share the untracked powder experience with other people. He has worked as a heli-ski guide in Nevada's Ruby Mountains as well as in Alaska's Chugach Range. He enjoys taking people skiing and riding in the Wallowa Mountains of Northeastern Oregon where he resides with his wife and dog. Caleb is an AIARE Course Leader, Avalanche Forecaster for the Wallowa Avalanche Center, and founder/host of The Avalanche Hour Podcast.
