Meet Your Coach
Leif Gasch has been a climber for 30 years and initially worked in the construction trade as a carpenter and electrician. In the last decade he has moved away from the trades and into the coaching and climbing training field full time. He has always sought a healthy balance between maintaining high levels of climbing performance and the demands and rigors of a full-time career.
His approach to climbing training stems from the idea that careful planning and rest play as much a factor in how we train as do the exercises and stimulus we subject ourselves to. Using this modality has helped him climb routes as hard as 5.14b and boulder V12. He’s been fortunate to train with some of the leaders in the field over the past decade and continues to grow his knowledge base of training, anatomy, and the climbing athlete.
